Cool Tools for Tech Communicators

Have you ever needed to do a quick edit of a graphic, but felt stuck because you couldn’t afford to buy Photoshop? Ever needed to edit a PDF file, but you didn’t own Acrobat? Come to the September 19 meeting, to learn about free or low-cost software that can solve these and other predicaments.

Tom Staubitz picJean Fudge pic Tom Staubitz, engineer by day and software explorer by night, and chapter president Jean Fudge will introduce you to an array of freeware and software available for $100 – total. Tom will present his favorite tools, along with reasons why they might become yours, too.

Directions (and map):

  1. Take I-75 south (from Dayton) or north (from Cincinnati).
  2. Take exit 38 for OH-73 toward Franklin/Springboro
  3. Turn left (from Dayton) or right (from Cincinnati) at E 2nd St/OH-73
  4. Turn left at Greenwood Ln (first light on Ohio 73, past the I-75 exchange).

The Springboro exit is 20 miles north of I-275.
