21st Century Networking: Everybody's Doing It
on Wednesday, Septemer 17, 2008

Network ... or die. That law of professional survival is more important today than ever before for all of us. But today's networking is not your mother's "meet, greet and pitch." What is called "social networking" on the Web is actually THE place to make the connections that help you:

  • Find your next job
  • Identify the training course you need to make yourself indispensable to your employer
  • Snag your next project.

LinkedIn, Plaxo, Facebook, and other sites are the new classified ads-but with major caveats: referrals are the name of the game; targeting is the basic strategy. Plus, if you have a job opening to fill, these sites are some of the best places to quickly find candidates who will meet your requirements without spending a great deal of time "in the weeds."

Our September program will introduce you to strategies for exploiting these mostly free networking services to your best advantage.
